The library

We only have one more day before midterms begin. I have been trying to get the magazine order straightened out and the rest of the books cataloged in. I taught database researching this week to another class of seniors. I have to say I love http://citationmachine.net if you have never used this site, it shows you how to cite resources in MLA and APA format.

ALA Washington office now in Second Life

The Washington Office is located on Cybrary City next to several other libraries. Cybrary City is one of several islands that librarians are using in SL to provide services to the users of this community. Policies target Student-teacher cybertalk

Louisiana is trying to pass a law monitoring student/teacher communication. I don't know about you but I have my students email me papers that need to be converted, book reviews, etc. If they are doing research, I forward them article that might help. What a mess this will make! Hopefully legislators will think twice about this one.
